Powerlet Builds International Relations At 2012 Dealernews International Powersports Dealer Expo

Powerlet met with OEM's, international distributors, domestic dealers and industry professionals at the 2012 Dealernews International Powersports Dealer Expo

"Overall this was a productive weekend as our staff held 50+ meetings with domestic dealership principles, international distributors, media and OEM customers. We are very pleased with the response we received for our new Get Wired Installation Program that targets international brick and mortar franchised dealers."
- John Swiatek CEO Coliant Corporation

Warren, Michigan — Mar 01, 2012 — Once a year the powersports industry converges on Indiana Convention Center. With 700 exhibitors signed on to display their wares in downtown Indy, this is the largest powersport trade show in North America.

According to Dealernews Expo staff the show is bringing in a new generation of buyer. More than 72 percent were dealer owners, GMs and/or department managers authorized to make purchasing decisions on the spot. According to Heather Erickson, Marketing Director for the Dealer Expo, 55 percent of badge-holders were annual patrons, 24 percent were return visitors after a short one or two-year sabbatical, and 21 percent were first-time attendees. Nearly 80 percent of attendees indicated that they will be returning to Indy in 2013.

The geographic breakdown showed that fourteen percent (14%) of attendees traveled to Indianapolis from outside of the United States. Twenty-nine percent (29%) of attendees were from the Midwest and another twenty-nine percent (29%) were from the Northeast. The south followed with twenty-one percent (21%), and finally the southwest at seven (7%) percent.

Some of the other Dealernews Expo statistics include:
* 35% cited networking opportunities since the entire industry is here;
* 26% said they were after show-exclusive savings on products;
* 24% said they were in town to take advantage of the buying/selling opportunities;
* 21% said they were here to view new products.

While overall domestic dealer attendance was down from previous years, the show was a success for Powerlet both internationally and domestically. "We are very pleased with response we received for our new Get Wired Installation Program that targets brick and mortar franchised dealers." said John Swiatek CEO Coliant Corporation. "Overall this was a very productive weekend as our staff held 50+ meetings with domestic dealership principles, international distributors, media and OEM customers."

Powerlet also successfully launched its P5 and P15 Power Outlet Compliance program at the show. You can learn more about the program on the web at http://www.powerlet.com/P5P15Program
